For women building a business of their own

Deck in a Day

Turn the experience you already have into a pitch you can actually send.

What did people rely on you for? What did you personally do when it mattered? What could another business commission from you?

Answer those three properly and you have a pitch. This kit gets you there: one opportunity, one useful deck you can actually send, and my eyes on your draft. The guide, fillable workbook, editable deck and completed example come by personal email from me, with one draft review of up to ten slides.

I

What have you been calling “just my job”?

Think about every job you have had. The roles you stepped into beyond the title. The training you delivered and the things you helped people understand.

What did you make look easy because you had been doing it for years?

There may be a useful paid offer sitting inside that experience. Especially if you have come from corporate, or are building your business alongside a corporate role, you already understand situations that another team may need help with.

I want you to have a proper look at what you bring, then give a potential client a clear way to understand it.

II

The low-hanging fruit

You could begin with a focused review, a workshop or a defined project built around a problem you understand.

That work can help fund the wider business you want to build. You choose what you are offering and agree the scope and delivery arrangements with the buyer.

Your deck is how you explain what that work could change, why your experience is relevant and what working together would involve.

III

One useful deck. Start there.

Who would you love to work with? What would you like them to say yes to?

That’s where we start. You’ll choose one opportunity, find the experience that supports it and build a clear deck you can actually send.

The guide and workbook take you through it a section at a time. You’ll know what to do next, with examples when you need a hand and optional material you can come back to later.

What is included

Everything in the kit laid out: the guide, the workbook, the editable deck and the completed example
Everything in the kit: the guide, the workbook, the editable deck and Nina’s completed example

An editable pitch deck

Ten pitch slides with prompts, a worked example in the notes under each one and spaces for your photographs. Five optional slides for other uses sit behind a divider. Scaffolding, not a style: keep the questions, make the look yours. A PowerPoint file, which Keynote opens and Google Slides can import.

The guide and the workbook

Four stages, one at a time: choose your opportunity, gather your evidence, build your deck, send it for review. Every page says whether to do it now or come back to it later. Type straight into the workbook, or print it.

A completed example deck

Nina’s ten finished slides, so you can see how it fits together and how a deck sells with numbers: the problem in the buyer’s own figures, the offer, sample evidence, the fee beside the time it could release, and the invitation. Nina is fictional, and so is every figure; she is there to show you the shape.

Different opportunities. Room to adapt.

You might be pitching your services to a corporate team, following up with a small business owner or answering that familiar request: “Can you send me some details?”

The pack also includes guidance for adapting your deck into a proposal, workshop pitch, speaking introduction, partnership pitch or selection of your work.

You don’t need to make every version. Start with the conversation you want to have now.

And yes, there’s me.

I’m Jess, The Fixer. I look for what is happening underneath the problem someone first describes, and I use different versions of my own deck for different conversations. That is the thinking in this pack.

I’ll personally email you the pack: your Start Here welcome, guide, fillable workbook, editable template and completed example.

You write your draft, then send it to me for a focused review. I’ll look at whether your offer makes sense, where your experience deserves more attention and what would help the reader take the next step.

£97 includes one draft review of up to ten slides. Send it within 30 days of purchase; I’ll return voice-note feedback within five working days of receiving your complete draft. You can send one follow-up question within seven days of receiving that feedback.

VI

How it works

01

Choose your opportunity

One reader, one offer, one decision you want them to make. A type of business is fine if you have not got a name yet.

02

Gather your evidence

Every job, what you do now, the training you have delivered and the work hiding inside the titles. Employment counts, with your contribution clearly explained.

03

Build your deck

Move your answers into the template, with Nina’s example beside you. One focused day, or smaller sessions inside your review window.

04

Send it for review

Export your draft as a PDF and email it to me. I’ll tell you what is clear and what needs a little more work, and you make the changes.

VII

This is for you if

You have useful experience and find it harder to explain the value of it than to do the work itself.

You are building a business alone, perhaps after a corporate career or alongside your current role, and want a clear way to pitch your services.

You are ready to write a first version and would value someone asking the question that helps you see what you have missed.

VIII

A few things you might be wondering

Do I need to know exactly what I am selling already?

Bring a broad idea of the work you could deliver. The inventory, service examples and offer-selection exercise will help you choose a useful starting offer and identify what you still need to check with a buyer. If you are still exploring, allow yourself more time for that part before finishing the slides.

Can I use experience from a previous job?

Yes. Explain the role you held, your own contribution and any shared result accurately. Describe employment experience as employment experience and check permission before including names or confidential details. The guide helps you choose an example that is relevant to this buyer.

Will you write the deck for me?

You write the draft using the guide and template. I review one draft of up to ten slides and give you feedback to make your own changes, with one follow-up question. The other uses in the guide are yours to build and do not come with extra reviews. A complete rewrite, redesign, further reviews or ongoing support would be a separate arrangement.

Do I need new brand photographs?

A clear photograph you already have can work well. The template shows where a headshot or full body image could go, with advice on choosing and cropping it. You can remove any photo space you do not need.

Do I have to finish it all in one day?

You can follow the suggested working day or build in smaller sessions within your review window. Start with one question and pick up where you left off. You can use the guide as you go.

“In a Day” refers to building your first draft. My review follows after you submit it, within five working days of receiving your complete draft.

What do I receive, and how?

I’ll personally email you the pack after purchase, from jess@anaptyxuk.com. You’ll receive the Start Here welcome, guide and fillable workbook as PDFs, plus the editable deck template and completed example as PowerPoint files. Start Here shows you where to begin and how to send me your draft for review.

Your experience is a place to begin
