FAQs

The questions founders actually ask.

Answered honestly — including the ones about who this isn’t for.

How are you different from a consultant?

A consultant arrives with expertise and applies it. I arrive with questions and investigate. Consultancy starts with solutions; I start with the diagnosis — because in most established businesses, the problem being discussed isn’t the problem that exists. Once the real problem is found, the fixing is usually simpler than anyone expected. Sometimes it’s less work, not more. No consultant is incentivised to tell you that.

What actually happens during The Fix™?

I investigate your business the way a detective works a case. I read the finances and spend time with the people — together, not separately — and I follow the pattern across operations, leadership, customers and decisions. I ask different questions. I challenge assumptions everyone has stopped noticing. At the end, you get complete clarity: what you believed the problem was, what it actually is, why it exists, the hidden constraint, your priorities, and recommended next steps.

What if I don’t know what’s wrong?

Then you’re exactly who this is for. Most of my clients arrive with a feeling, not a diagnosis — something is off, something doesn’t add up, and they’ve run out of obvious explanations. That feeling is usually the most accurate piece of information in the business. You don’t need to name the problem. Finding it is my job, not yours.

Do you implement changes?

The Fix™ is diagnosis — it tells you what’s actually wrong and what to do about it. If you want the structural work done together, that’s The Rebuild™: bespoke implementation shaped by what the investigation found. Some clients take the clarity and run with it themselves. Both are legitimate outcomes.

How long do people work with you?

The Fix™ is a defined engagement — weeks, not months. The Rebuild™ depends entirely on what needs rebuilding. The Partnership™ is long-term by design — some founders keep me as a thinking partner for years, because the value compounds as I know the business more deeply. But nothing is open-ended by default; each stage is a separate decision.

Who is this for?

Established founders running real businesses — typically $500k to several million in revenue, with a team, systems, and history. You’re intelligent, you’ve already invested in help, and yet something still isn’t working. You don’t need more information. You need to know what’s actually going on.

Who isn’t this for?

Startups looking for a playbook. Anyone wanting quick tactics, hacks, or motivation. Founders who want their current diagnosis confirmed rather than questioned — the investigation goes where the evidence goes, and sometimes the evidence is uncomfortable. And if the business is pre-revenue, there isn’t enough structure to investigate yet.

What if I’m not ready for The Fix™?

Then start with The Second Opinion™ — $600. You send your numbers and your story; within 48 hours you get my first read in writing: the three questions nobody has asked you, and where I’d look first. If it becomes The Fix™ within 30 days, the $600 comes off the price entirely — so it works like a deposit, not a purchase. And the free option is always there: the Can You See The Real Problem? experience takes seven minutes and asks for nothing.

Do I need ongoing support?

Maybe not. That’s an honest answer you’ll rarely hear in this industry. Some businesses need The Fix™ and nothing else — clarity was the missing piece. Others need the architecture rebuilt, and some want a long-term thinking partner. We’ll know which you are once the real problem is on the table. I’d rather tell you that you don’t need me than sell you a retainer you don’t need.
